You Will Need...
- 220-grit Sandpaper
- Dish Detergent
- Hot Water
- Clean Rags
- PVC Safe Primer/Sealer
- Acrylic Paint
- Brush, Roller, or Spray Gun
Step 1
Wipe down the product with hot water and a small amount of dish soap. Then dry with a new clean rag.
Step 2
Lightly sand the smooth areas with 220-grit sandpaper, then repeat step 1 to get all loose particles off the product.
Step 3
Apply 1-2 coats of PVC safe primer/sealer. You can apply with a brush, roller, or air gun. We recommend using an air gun for both painting and priming, but brushing will work too.
Step 4
Apply 1-2 coats of acrylic paint to the product. Make sure to apply evenly. It is easiest to use a spray gun and the finish should come out a lot nicer too. Let dry for a day then follow our provided installation instructions.
This is only for our products made from PVC (Shutters, trim, and brackets). Unfortunately, HDPE cannot be painted.
Make sure to paint in a well ventilated area. We also recommend using a face mask to prevent from inhaling any harmful fumes.
